LAVA RIDGE COUNSELING PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT

As counselors, our ultimate goal is to help our students be as happy and successful as possible.

LAVA RIDGE COUNSELING PROGRAM VISION STATEMENT

At our school, we envision a future where every student is equipped with unwavering resilience and empowered to embrace their journey towards college and career readiness. Our mission is to cultivate a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and empowers students to overcome challenges. We strive to instill within them the belief that setbacks are stepping stones to success and that perseverance leads to achievement.

Through comprehensive guidance and counseling programs, we are committed to nurturing resilience in our students. We provide them with the tools, strategies, and resources necessary to develop a strong sense of self, face adversity with courage, and adapt to ever-changing circumstances. By promoting resilience, we aim to cultivate a resilient mindset that propels them to explore their passions, set ambitious goals, and persevere in the face of obstacles.

Moreover, we understand that resilience is intricately linked to college and career readiness. Our vision encompasses empowering students to discover their unique talents and interests, guiding them towards academic excellence, and equipping them with the skills and knowledge essential for their future endeavors. With resilience as their foundation, our students will confidently navigate the path towards higher education and meaningful careers, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth along the way.

Together, let us foster resilience and inspire our students to reach their fullest potential, ensuring their happiness and success in all aspects of their lives.

What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Our faculty and staff are committed to finding positive ways to support good behavior in our school. We have several school-wide supports in place including our Touch Gold Program which recognizes students who are meeting schoolwide expectations and modeling good behavior. We work in Interdisciplinary Teams to identify students who have Will or Skill issues and work together to identify  effective evidence-based interventions to improve student outcomes.
